Hey all, just a quick update, but I'm overjoyed right now because I just drove myself home in my OWN CAR!! I finally got it, red '96 Chevy Corsica, and one sweet sound system. I got through finalizing all the insurance goodness today, and drove it home from Jolly's place a little while ago.

Telling my parents that I was acquiring said car was rather, um, interesting, yet really nothing that I didn't expect already. My father screamed and made projectile weapons out of whatever was handy (luckily he has worse aim than LaTroy Hawkins) and my mother merely sat and cried. Needless to say, neither one of them was too happy about the idea of me asserting my independence, and denying that I had to ask their permission to do this. In the end, they realized they had no choice but to accept it, which is good for them, I was proud. Of course, tonight I surprised them again by walking through the front door and waving my keys at them. This was the first time I'd ever actually driven alone, also my first time driving at night, but that can be our little secret.

I know I have been rambling on about this car for a good while, in two consecutive posts, but there really is no way to convey how earth-shattering of an event this is for me. I have been bound to my parents and their wishes completely, and this is the first time I am truly standing up for myself, doing something for me, gaining my own independence. Big step for one of Ana's occasional sisters Makes me feel more like myself than I have in a long, long time...perhaps ever. (Read: yay)

Well, that is all for me for now, I'm beat, and I leave for Vegas tomorrow. Lord knows I won't sleep while I'm there Have a good one, all.
